3 Year Olds
A Day In The Life
Of a 3 Year Old
Arrival / Dismissal
During COVID-19 we are doing outdoor check-in and temperature checks upon arrival.
Free Play
Children are given time to play in the centers located around the classroom: math manipulatives, sensory bins, train tables, dramatic play, books, and more!
Snacks and Meals
Morning and afternoon snack are provided by the school. Lunch is provided by the family. Students say a prayer before meals, practice hand washing, and use basic table manners.
Circle Time
Students learn about weekly themes and participate in an interactive curriculum for their age level. They also gain concepts about day of the week, weather, classroom jobs, etc.
Rest Time
Students rest on cots (cots and sheets provided and sanitized by the school, blanket provided by the family) for 90-120 minutes in the afternoon.
Outdoor Play
The class goes outside twice per day, weather permitting, on our beautiful playground! We provide balls, chalk, bubbles, and more.
Chapel
Each class attends a weekly Chapel time with Ms. Carey for songs and Bible stories!
Potty
We know 3-year-olds are learning how to use the potty like a big kid. We give frequent reminders to use the restroom, and we understand that accidents happen!
Arts and Crafts
3-year-olds develop lots of pre-literacy skills by writing and drawing! Your child will have lots of opportunities each week to color, write, and be creative.
